STREET MACHINE NATIONALS DELIVERS MORE.......

The crew from EZE-10S Performance headed out to the Street Machine Nationals held at Rosehill Gardens Raceway and took three of their cars to put on show and perform burnouts. 'PROJECT VK' was on display, a VK Commodore showcasing it's turbocharged 355 cubic inch Holden V8 and huge dished wheels on the back. This was only the second time the VK has been on show, with the first being at Powercruise 23 in March. The car has only been on the road in a few short months, but has turned heads everywhere it goes. When cruising down the road, you wouldn't spot that the turbocharger housing just sits above the bonnet line, giving the indication that there is something very special underneath. Most spot the size of the dish of the Simmons FR19 rear wheels with huge rubber mounted to try to keep contact with the road. This Commodore will keep the crowds happy whenever it's shown or driven around.

And if the VK wasn't enough, 'FITZY7', a big block powered 1957 Chev was on display next to the VK. The '57 was been shown for the first time, with this car only being in the country for a short time. The crew from EZE-10S then went about tuning the engine for aussie conditions and going over the car to make sure everything was operational. Number plates were made, a lot of polished was rubbed on, then off to make the Chevy shine. Not expecting to take home any silverware, it did just that, with the award for Best Custom Graphics. The Black paint with flames really stands out. This car will be featured in upcoming Magazines, so keep an eye out for them soon!

Only mention the work burnout and you will find 'Mad' Mick Brasher in the blown injected ULEGAL Corolla. On the Saturday, the 'rolla was tied down to the rollers to find out how much power was being delivered to the rears, and also to find out how much power the engine had after over 12 months of burnout competitions from around the country. When it was over, it punched out 540 rear wheel horsepower, very impressive and a testament to Mark who builds these engines and keeps on top of the tuning duties. Funny thing is when the car was at the show on Saturday, it was in it's distinctive Purple/Silver paint scheme, but it it reappeared for Sundays burnouts, it was like it was a mobile chalk board, with the car being sprayed flat black over night. It was just on of those nights when a few cold ones and a crazy idea joined forces and presto, a different look. But one thing is when it hit the burnout pad, nothing had changed with the performance or driving ability and the Corolla was thrown around the pad for the crowd. After separating the tyres from the rims, Mick just bolted another set on and went out again just to give the crowd one last show. And he didn't disappoint. After his efforts, Mick took home Best V8 Burnout and Best Burnout overall, as well as third for the Dyno shootout. The Corolla is now at the shop, with a rebuild and fresh look ready to hit the burnout pads of Australia in a month or so. It will look very different, as the car will have new paint, interior and a fresh Blown Small Block ready for another 12 months of burnout use.

Credit must be given to Paul Beck and his crew for putting on the Street Machine Nationals, which was a top weekend for not only the entrants, but also for the viewing public.
